About

We build the desk software agencies actually needed

HireNema is an AI hiring platform for staffing agencies. We started it because recruiters were doing the most valuable part of their work, judging people, in the gaps between spreadsheet tabs and email threads.

A recruiting desk runs on volume. Hundreds of resumes arrive for a role, most of them close enough to look plausible and far enough off to waste an afternoon. The work of reading them is real work, and it is the part that gets squeezed when three clients all want candidates by Thursday.

The tools built to help mostly did not. Applicant tracking systems assume a single company hiring for itself, so agencies end up with one workspace per client or one spreadsheet per role. AI screeners return a number with nothing behind it, which is fine until a client asks why candidate four ranked above candidate two and there is no answer to give them.

HireNema is the version we wanted to exist: resumes screened against the job description with the reasoning attached, a first-round voice interview that runs while you work on something else, and a shortlist your client can open without an account and act on the same day.

What we believe

The recruiter makes the call

Our software scores, ranks, and interviews. It does not reject anyone. A person confirms every outcome, because the cost of a wrong automated rejection falls on a candidate who never finds out it happened.

A score without reasoning is worthless

Any tool can return a number. A number your client cannot question is a number they will not act on. Every score we produce carries the reasoning and the specific gaps behind it.

Agencies are not small enterprises

Most hiring software assumes one company hiring for itself. An agency runs many clients, competing roles, and one shared pool of people. We build for that shape rather than asking agencies to work around it.

The shortlist is the deliverable

Recruiters are not paid for activity inside a tool. They are paid when a client receives candidates worth interviewing. Everything we build is measured against how quickly that shortlist arrives.

Where we are going

The near-term work is depth rather than breadth: better reasoning on senior and niche roles, richer interview debriefs, and reporting an agency can put in front of a client during a renewal conversation. We would rather do the screening loop properly than add a second product alongside it.

If you run a desk and something here is wrong about how your week actually works, we want to hear it. That feedback is most of the roadmap.
